The 2015 Winners

We are proud to award riderships to Emily Meagher, and a lovely couple - Chris & Jenn Basham in our third year of honoring Mark Bosworth with this grant fund.

Emily Meagher

Emily: I am so honored to be a recipient of the Mark Bosworth Cycle Oregon Scholarship. I am excited to challenge myself over the climbs and distance, and take in all the beautiful scenery of the week ride. I am looking forward to interacting with many wonderful people. I cannot thank you enough or begin to express the joy I'm feeling because of this wonderful opportunity.

Chris and Jenn: Thank you so much for this amazing opportunity! We are so grateful that you chose us to receive your scholarship. We look forward to the many hours of riding we will be doing together as we prepare for Cycle Oregon, and the many more we will do on Cycle Oregon.

Jenn: I want to sincerely thank the Mark Bosworth Scholarship Fund for this thrilling opportunity. More and more, I have discovered a sense of peacefulness riding my bike on the open road and look forward to having that feeling throughout the week-long ride. In addition to the sense of community that will be created on the ride this year; I'm excited to challenge myself and share this experience with Chris, my wonderful husband.

Chris: I am so grateful for this opportunity! I'm not sure which will be more thrilling, the challenge of longer rides or the magnificent scenery. Combine that with thousands of other riders sharing in the camaraderie of this experience and I know I will leave with memories that will last a lifetime. Most of all, I am really looking forward to sharing this experience with my beautiful wife, Jennifer, and all the Bosworths as we honor Mark's spirit throughout the week.
